- We’ve been saying it for years, “The Portland Creative Conference is a lightening rod for inspiration, innovation and brilliant ideas.” And now those in the know are saying it for us.
The Portland Creative Conference just made this year’s top ten list for “boundary-spanning, silo-busting events.” You’ll find it at Brain Pickings, a website created by cultural curator and digital anthropologist, Maria Popova.
Our name now appears on, what Popova describes as, “a veritable who’s-who list of 21st-century change-makers whose fundamental mission is to provide a broadly-curated experience for the curious.”
To compile her list, Popova throws a wide net from California to the New York island (this year it also included Munich and Amsterdam) in search of events that foster a cross-pollination of ideas—ideas that allow us to get a fresh perspective that can enrich and strengthen our own work. She also listens to recommendations from her sizable and savvy audience.
Popova has bylines in Wired UK, GOOD Magazine, Brand Week and Business Week, and her content at Brain Pickings is as eclectic as the Portland Creative Conference. Since our early beginnings in 1990, our speakers have shared insight and ideas from a broad creative spectrum including everything from advertising, film, television, writing, design, and animation to poster art, performance art, and more.

Can’t wait to hear what you have on tap this year…I attended for 5 years when I lived in Portland..moving back soon..can’t wait to pump up the creative muscles of my mind..
